NYC Man Arraigned in Christmas Morning Shooting of Nightclub Owner

An early morning shooting at a Mount Vernon nightclub has left the owner dead and five others injured, ruining Christmas for a grieving family. A suspect is reportedly in custody.

A man who was thrown out of a New York City nightclub over the weekend returned to the Mount Vernon area establishment several hours later and opened fire, killing two and wounding four more.

The owner of the club had tried to kick some partygoers out when the shots were fired.

Patrick Merchant, Bandoo's father-in-law, told the Daily News, describing what led to the incident.

At the time of the shooting, Hillary was out on bail from an attempted murder charge in the Bronx.

"Security personnel immediately tackled him", Adinaro said.

The mayor's office confirmed that a second victim died from their injuries on Sunday afternoon (25 December), according to The Associated Press.

"No family should ever spend Christmas like this, ever", Mount Vernon Mayor Richard Thomas said.
