Authorities have said the shooting was an isolated incident but have not released a possible motive or said whether they are looking for any suspects.

Tammy Lynette Pearce, 54, and her boyfriend, Selby Gene Outland, 47, were killed, along with Pearce's son, Paul Shane Pearce, 28, and his fiance, Dominique (Nikki) Nicole Privette, 23.

Added another neighbor, Michael Taylor: 'What could've happened? "They just can't have a heart", Kenneth Privette said.

They said Paul Pearce, who went by Shane, was planning to marry Nikki Privette, and they recalled how Tammy Pearce adored animals and was especially devoted to her dog, Pipsqueak.

Brenda, a resident from Wilson County who has asked to keep her full name anonymous, reacted to the tragic shooting by saying "It's Christmas Eve".

To date Wilson County police have not said whether the quadruple murders may have been the result of one of the dead initiating fatal force before then killing themselves.

Four people died from gunshot wounds, Wanda Samuel of the Wilson County Sheriff's Office confirmed in an email.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help with funeral costs.
