West ham embarrassed by high-flying Arsenal 5-1 at London stadium

The 27-year-old terrorised Arsene Wenger's back four that day as West Ham battled back from two goals down to earn a thrilling 3-3 draw at Upton Park. Ibrahimovic added the gloss to the result when he tapped in the last kick of the game.

Mathieu Debuchy has been ruled out for six weeks with a hamstring injury so with Hector Bellerin still out with an ankle problem, Carl Jenkinson could retain his place at right-back. Mohamed Elneny, too, isn't on the long-term injury list after he was forced off midweek with diarrhoea.

Slaven Bilic is ready to unleash Andy Carroll on Arsenal. The first goal was a gift from West Ham, as Hammer defender Angelo Ogbonna attempted to clear the ball, only for it to fall to forward Alexis Sanchez who unselfishly drop it off to Ozil for an easy finish.

Slaven Bilic is pleased to have Andy Carroll back in his West Ham squad to face Arsenal as he feels the oft-injured striker "offers something special". Also their full backs Cresswell and Antonio are out. Arsenal controlled much of the possession, the defense held calmly for the most part, and the threat from the Hammers was next to nonexistent. While fans usually enjoy the chance to see some of the fringe players play, they weren't impressed by the performance of one player in particular. Admittedly it was the EFL Cup, a competition in which top Premier League sides usually field weakened sides, but Arsenal had enough quality in their rotated side to win the game if they had been that little bit bothered.

"It was basically him who brought us back in that game before half-time with two goals, and he went on to score a hat trick". However if we keep it tight and give ourselves a chance then a late Carroll cameo isn't out of the question.

Check out the official Premier League ticket hub. I'm positive I can turn this around.

After Saturday's game, Sanchez even stopped to take a selfie with West Ham's ball boys, after giving one of them his shirt. Essentially, if Arsenal perform, they will win, simple as.

For much of the game (until about the last ten minutes) the contest was close on the scoreboard, but honestly the moments where West Ham actually appeared to be in the game were slim. He's got all that but he's probably the best in the league at that for me.

"When you play up front you know where the goal is, because the signals are coming from the crowd, you know where the adverts are and sometimes you have no time to make your decision, but you have a geographical reference when you stand on the pitch that is linked to the stadium".
