Star Wars Rogue One advance tickets to go on sale

Advance ticket sales for "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will start Monday in the United States, two and a half weeks before the December 16 opening.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen, Forest Whitaker and James Earl Jones.

Star Wars has recently announced that tickets for opening weekend to the film will be going on sale Monday, November 28. While it features a good amount of footage seen in previous worldwide trailers, it also includes a few new scenes, and when said and done, it pretty clearly lays out all the major events of the film along with its plot.

Avid fans of the "Star Wars" franchise can now get their hands on "Rogue One" in a discounted price three weeks even before the upcoming installment is to hit theaters.

Last year's Star Wars: The Force Awakens broke almost every box office record out there, making more than $2 billion worldwide. Check it out below from the official Star Wars YouTube channel.

Rogue One follows a group of Rebel fighters as they try to steal the plans to the Death Star before it can be completed. Not only is it an extremely valuable resource that tells you which formats the movie will be playing, it shows you all the theaters you can buy tickets from based on location.

According to reports, this particular feature of the new expansion closely resembles the Battle Station mode of Death Star, Star Wars Battlefront's previous expansion. The film takes place just before the events in 'Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, ' the 1977 film when the world met Luke Skywalker for the first time.
