Sony's Xperia X Performance Now Receiving Android Nougat

With a firmware built number 39.2.A.0.327 the rollout will hit Xperia X Performance (F8131) and X Performance Dual (F8132) but is now limited to few selected regions only. Reports suggest that carriers Sprint and T-Mobile will be releasing the update for LG G5 smartphone in U.S. soon. However, the latest Android Nougat update is limited to select markets.

The update will be rolled out first to carrier devices because Google allows network carriers to get their hands on updates way earlier than everyone in order to test the update and see if it's working accordingly. A beta version of Android 7.0 was released for Xperia X Performance earlier this month so that it could go through the usual testing procedures, and it has now started a wider release after positive reviews during testing. The blog further states that the update is rolling out in specific countries and it may take some time to reach your region.

"T-Mobile is pleased to provide a new, free software update for your Android Smartphone".

The new Android OS update includes UI tweaks, improved battery life, and native Android split-screen apps and an absence of Daydream VR support. This is one of the most favorite features among users who managed to work on it. Also, on the rear side, you'll find a Dual 16 MP + 8 MP camera and the front camera is 8 MP. The device now has a developer preview for Android 7.1.1, but this should be the official update.

If we follow the previous leaks and reports, Sony is supposed to kick start the roll out of Nougat 7.0 on Xperia XP Performance by the end of December 2016.

Speaking about the specifications of the Xperia X Performance, the smartphone comes with a 5-inch 1080p display.
