Detectives investigating SUV linked to Google employee's murder

A witness parked on Brooks Station Road saw the dark-colored vehicle, the same day of Marcotte's disappearance.

During a visit to her mother's home on August 7, she was last seen "walking or running" along a long stretch of Brooks Station Road, which is not far from her mother's home, officials have said.

MA detectives are seeking information on a dark-colored SUV seen by witnesses near the area where the body of a 27-year-old jogger was found in August. The suspect may have had scratches or injuries in the days following the attack, police have said.

"Detectives are following up on every lead and all tips that contain potentially credible information", Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early said in a statement. It was parked near where the woman's body was found, Early said.

Some Princeton residents told FOX25 they are upset about what they say is a lack of information as the search for Marcotte's killer continues.

When she failed to return home, her family notified police and filed a missing persons report at 3:50 p.m. More than 1000 tips have come in through a dedicated telephone tip line, 508-453-7589.

"State police and Princeton police have asked that area law enforcement agencies be vigilant and mindful of this homicide investigation when interacting with men operating or occupying a dark-colored SUV", state police wrote. She grew up in Leominster and graduated from Boston University.

Marcotte grew up in Leominster and had been working as an account manager for Mountain View, California-based Google in NY.
