Person Shot at Oklahoma Airport

"It is with great sorrow that Southwest Airlines confirms that a Southwest Employee who was injured during a shooting incident today at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City has died from injuries".

Southwest Airlines tweeted that it would have no arriving or departing flights until 6 p.m. CT (7 p.m. ET), at the earliest. Tactical teams were conducting a search of the airport Tuesday afternoon for the suspect and a possible second victim, a police spokesperson said.

People inside the Will Rogers World Airport were told the lockdown will last another two hours.

In a video posted to the department's Facebook page, Capt. Paco Balderrama said police responded to a report of shots fired in the airport parking lot.

The only other aircraft in the sky was a police helicopter that was circling the airport.

"Police have not released any information on a suspect in the case".

Pictures from reporters on the scene show all roads around the airport have been blocked off and police are advising people to avoid the area.

He does not know the condition of the first victim.

He said authorities also believe there was a second reported victim of the shooting.

"If you are inside of the airport, shelter in place until advised otherwise", Oklahoma City Police said on their Twitter feed.

The airport Twitter account said the facility remains closed at this time and all flights in and out have been suspended.
