Sarah Jessica Parker Dishes on New HBO Series DIVORCE

The four-time Golden Globe victor plays Frances, a woman who throws around the idea of separation with her husband but doesn't know if she can do it.

"Listen to her. You know, that helps", the actor told ET's Jennifer Peros, when asked what tips he would give Thomas Haden Church, who plays Parker's on-screen husband.

And Sarah Jessica Parker didn't disappoint when she stepped out in New York City on Wednesday as she continued promoting her upcoming comedy.

Broderick, 54, added said that "communicating" and not going to bed angry are vital to a healthy relationship.

"Her life choices have been radically different than Carrie's and I think it's a story no less appealing though it's very different". "In particular, 'What does disappointment look like?' and 'How do you find humor in failure?' and, some might say, the story of an American marriage. I'd say it's also an attempt at divorce", Parker said.

Cynthia Nixon and Mario Cantone, who portrayed Miranda Hobbes and Anthony Marantino on the wildly popular HBO series and movies, showed up at the New York City premiere of the 51-year-old actress' new HBO show, Divorce.

Divorce premieres on HBO on October 9 at 10 p.m.

"Sex and the City" won eight Golden Globes awards and enthralled millions during its six-season run, which ended in 2004, but later spawned two films in 2008 and 2010.

The story of a very, very long divorce, the show follows Frances and Robert as they grapple with the fallout from their failing marriage, not just for themselves, but also for their children and friends, ranging from awkward public encounters to hard private therapy sessions.
