Joey Feek Hoping To Beat Terminal Cancer

Country singer Joey Feek is staying strong till the very end of her cancer battle.

Her story is told in a series of heartbreaking posts in the blog This Life I Live by her husband Rory Feek. "[She is] thinner. Much thinner. So so so lovely".

Joey left the hospital to begin hospice care in October so she could spend as much time as possible with daughter in and say goodbye to Rory's teenage daughters from a previous relationship, Heidi and Hopie.

"Today and the last few days have been incredible", Rory noted.

Joey Feek, who has recently become bedridden in her fight against cervical cancer, still believes in the possibility of a miracle recovery, according to her husband Rory Feek. We had no idea when we woke up that day what a gift God was about to give us, ' Rory wrote of his daughter.

"A hospice nurse comes once or twice a week and she helps to make sure that Joey's pain is under control - that her morphine drip is working properly - and to see if she and we, her caregivers, need anything". "The end. Or at least, the end is very close".

Many people have been following their story, checking out the videos and pictures described in attractive words by Rory.

Joey entered hospice care in early November, after ceasing treatments for her terminal cancer.

"My wife is braver than me", he wrote on his blog, One Life to Live. And how proud she is to be their mother, ' wrote Rory of the emotional experience. I've loved you for years. It's what He has given us to live.

He also explained why they've chosen to share their journey, because "sharing what we're going through with others is really all we have to give". Joey wants to be remembered as a woman who sang attractive songs, a devoted wife, and loving mother. He shares that the two of them were able to move across the room and dance while he sang "You Look So Good In Love" by George Strait in her ear.

Rory Feek writes that even though Joey Feek's condition is deteriorating and she "can no longer get out of bed," she is still determined to "beat" cancer.

He continued, "Like any woman, my wife is self-conscious about what cancer has done to her. Who she sees in the mirror these days looks like someone else... not the woman that she feels like she is inside".
